WHAT?

America 250 Missouri invites all Missouri communities to participate in the statewide Show Me Service Challenge. The goal of this challenge is to highlight Missourians heart for service and ask them to join in devoting a time for projects within their community. This year’s challenge will start on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 and conclude on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

Who?

Define your community. This can consist of any age and any group. Consider groups or organizations that are already available in your area. Some examples might be 4-H Clubs, FFA, Boys and Girls Clubs, youth groups, book clubs, service organizations, senior centers; these are just a few ideas. It could also be your town, city or county.

How?

The Show Me Service Challenge is 2026 hours from November 4, 2025 to July 4, 2026 completed for a service project. Examples of projects could be cleaning up parks, roadways, reading to others, visiting veteran’s homes, packing supplies for food shelters are just a few.

Send an email to: ShowMeAmerica250@oa.mo.gov identifying your community and the project. You will receive a response letting you know you are enrolled. Follow up with photos and total hours completed by July 4, 2026 to the same email. You will be notified that you are enrolled in the prize drawing.

Recognition

Social media post will be made on Facebook and X throughout the challenges as updates are received, ago when tagged by local community as #ShowMe250.

There will be drawings from the communities that complete the challenge: 5 for a $2,000 prize for their community and 1 for $5,000. (Total of all prizes is $15,000)
