The America 250 Missouri Commission invites you to participate in a series of events as we count down to July 4, 2026.

Start planning now for floral displays for next spring! Courthouses, businesses, and personal residences are encouraged to design flower beds and containers incorporating red, white, and blue color patterns. Driving through neighborhoods to see next summer’s flora, fauna, and flags will rival the tradition of viewing Christmas light displays. Start planning your summer display and set aside the proper funds for Patriotic Displays 2026!

The Grants for Arts Projects FY27 Guidelines are now published on arts.gov: https://www.arts.gov/grants/grants-for-arts-projects

The funding opportunity package is also now live on Grants.gov for the first Grants for Arts Projects deadline, February 12, 2026 11:59PM ET. The grants.gov package will be posted later for the second Grants for Arts Projects deadline, which is July 9, 2026 11:59 pm ET for projects with a start date of June 1, 2027 or later.

America’s Potluck is an opportunity for neighbors to join with one another to share a fun, communal meal, creating a sense of connection and belonging and fostering interactions among people from all walks of life. Join the movement to build connections within your community by spreading the word and planning to host a potluck on July 5, 2026. Better yet, walk across the street (or the hall) to find a neighbor to co-host the potluck with you!

We are happy to share a project related to America250 and the Declaration of Independence – “Sharing the Spirit of America”. The premise of ‘Sharing the Spirit of America’ is pretty simple, and its implementation is equally simple.

Just as the Declaration of Independence was read for the first time to the people of Philadelphia on July 8, 1776, Americans across the country will read the Declaration on July 8, 2026. Please plan one in your local community and share the details on the form below. The listing will allow those who want to attend find a reading near them.

ServMO, formerly known as the Missouri Community Service Commission, is thrilled to partner with the America 250 Missouri Commission to offer mini-grant opportunities to Missouri organizations in Fall 2026. These funding opportunities will be posted at https://serv.mo.gov/grant-opportunities/  in late Spring. ServMO will encourage Missourians to get engaged in their communities in September 2026 during either 9/11 Day of Service  or Missouri Good Neighbor Week .
